Jordan manages the Instructional Technology Group, overseeing lab and learning spaces, a team of graduate students serving as Research and Instructional Technology Consultants (RITC), and internal faculty-led Digital Humanities projects (DH Accelerator).
Jordan received her Ph.D. from UCLA in Egyptology. Her research focuses on how marginalized labor, the New Kingdom textile industry, and the relationship between power and identity. She is also interested in the historiography of the study of Egypt, women in the ancient world, and digital applications in ancient studies. Before this, Jordan received her B.A. from Temple University in Greek and Roman Classics and Anthropology and her M.A. from the University of Chicago in Middle Eastern Studies.
She also co-hosts a popular ancient history podcast, “Afterlives of Ancient Egypt,” and is a writer for the associated blog Ancient Now.
