Professor Jack Chen (Asian Languages and Cultures) used “distant reading” to interpret the Quan Tang shi, a collection of over 50,000 Chinese poems from the Tang Dynasty. HumTech staff contributed expertise in topic modeling techniques and software such as MALLET to accomplish this. This project is funded by the Mellon Foundation.
