At HumTech, collaboration is our guiding principle. Collaboration means we are working side-by-side with you — our faculty, staff, student, librarian and technology colleagues. Every interaction is a collaboration, and our goal is for every collaboration to be productive and to build awareness of our joint capability. Our hope is that you enjoy working with us, and look forward to the process of collaborating with HumTech. Collaboration with HumTech takes many forms and comes in many sizes. For example:
- The DTAs (Department Technology Analysts) in our Computing Support Group help you on a drop-in basis or by appointment with hardware and software, and coordinate with campus service providers to ensure you benefit from cloud services, online security, and online collaboration and communications tools. - Our Web Operations Group brings timeless design and cutting-edge features and analytics to humanities department, center and project websites. See one of our recently completed sites. Learn more about this team.
- Our Instructional Technology Group collaborates directly with our faculty and grad student instructors to support CCLE and other classroom tools, and to find personalized solutions to teaching challenges. Learn more about this team.
- Our Academic Projects Group works one-on-one with scholars and staff to design and implement custom websites, tech-heavy courses, and digital tools. See some of our recent project collaborations. Learn more about this team.
Collaboration across campus. To ensure you have access to the best expertise and resources for your needs, HumTech makes it a priority to collaborate widely on campus. Our community is your community, and we are always looking for new partnerships to support humanities work. Current key partners include:
- The UCLA Library
- CCLE (Common Collaboration and Learning Environment), our campus learning management system (LMS)
- The Office of Information Technology (OIT)
- The Office of Instructional Development (OID)
- The Institute of Digital Research and Education (IDRE)
